New SAR Cell Phone Deal

The Member Services Committee of NSSAR is pleased to announce yet another contract for SAR members. T-Mobile and SAR now have a contract for cell phone services for SAR members. JD Powers and Associates ranks T-Mobile as the top cell phone company for the past 7 years.

Members who sign a cell phone contract with T-Mobile will receive a 10% discount off their bill solely because they are SAR members. Members can go to their web site at www.t-mobile.com to investigate their various plans and phone options. Then when you are ready, call 1-866-464-8662 and talk to a representative about a cell phone. You will have to provide them with the NSSAR account number (9688TMOFAV).

At some point after our National Congress, NSSAR will have a T-Mobile link on the Member Services page on our web site that members can click on and go directly to a T-Mobile web page and sign up.

Compatriots

The Member Services Committee is pleased to announce yet another
contract for SAR members. We have tried to find providers of goods and
services who are well respected in their field and we have focused on
quality over quantity. One of the areas I have been looking at is cell
phone providers because that has become an almost indispensible item to
many of us. In researching the companies I found one that was very
promising, it has been ranked by Business Week as one of the top 25
companies in the country for the past 2 years. Also it has been ranked by
JD Powers and Associates as the top cell phone company for the past 7
years. That company is T-Mobile and the SAR now has a contract with them.
Members who sign a cell phone contract with T-Mobile will receive a 10%
discount off their bill solely because they are SAR members. You can go
to their web site www.t-mobile.com to investigate their various plans and
phone options. Then when you are ready call 1-866-464-8662 and talk to a
representative about a cell phone. You will have to provide them with our
account number, which is 9688TMOFAV. At some point after Congress we will
have a T-Mobile link on the Member Services page on our web site that
members can click on and go directly to a T-Mobile web page and sign up.
But for the time being please call the number listed above for service.
T-Mobile will have a booth at Congress in Sacramento to discuss their
cell phone plans and any member who signs up for a cell phone at Congress
will receive a special promotional deal. Those members who sign up at
Congress will receive the first month free up to a maximum credit of $60.
This is a good deal if you are in the market for a new phone, either for
yourself or for your wife or a child, or grandchild. Additionally the
SAR organization will receive a small rebate for any SAR members who
sign up for T-Mobile phones. 10% discount for everyone, one month free up to
$60 if you sign up at Congress, and a small rebate to the SAR for
everyone who signs up makes this a pretty good deal for us.
Many of you may have cell phone contracts already so you may want to
calculate the cost of terminating your existing contract versus the
savings with T-Mobile. Generally the early termination cost is based on
how much time remains on the contract. If you are interested you
should contact your existing provider to determine the cost of termination and
discuss it with a T-Mobile representative at Congress. Also if you
already have service with T-Mobile you may be eligible for this discount
when your existing contract expires.

Several of the contracts I have announced have provisions for small
rebates to the SAR for members who utilize those providers. These
rebates come off the providers profit and do not increase the cost to an SAR
member. SAR members pay the same price, we have just been fortunate to
negotiate concessions for the SAR. All contracts announced recently are
intended to add value to an SAR membership and make membership in the
SAR more attractive to those considering us. When you discuss the SAR with
members who are considering not retaining their membership, or with
prospective members please mention these advantages of SAR membership
found on the Member Services page. Please consider T-Mobile if you need a
cell phone now or when your contract with your current provider expires.
Please forward this to other SAR members who are not on SAR-TALK.

Chairman, Member Services Committee
