About Us

The San Antonio Chapter of the Texas State Society of the Sons of the American Revolution, Inc., was chartered on April 19, 1930, the anniversary of the battles of Lexington and Concord.

We honor our patriot ancestors

Our Purpose


The stated purpose of The Sons of the American Revolution is
Patriotism, History and Education.

Our Chapter strongly upholds this mission through our endeavors and activities.

 


 

Our Activities

The Chapter participates in activities that foster Patriotism and 
traditional American History.

     Youth Activities: Click on the link of your choice for further information.
          The Historical Poster Contest for Fifth Grade (Elementary or Middle School);
          The Knight Historical Essay Contest for high school juniors and seniors;
          The Oration Contest;
          The ROTC and JROTC recognition awards for achievement;
 
     Ceremonials honoring:
          Our Independence,
          Our Flag,
          Those who have served the Nation in times of war and peace, and
          Our fallen Comrades and Compatriots
 
     Awarding Bronze Good Citizenship Medals:
          To youth who have excelled in the study of American History, and
          To those who have made significant contributions to their community.
 
     Participation in society related activities with the:
          Daughters of the American Revolution, and
          Children of the American Revolution.

We welcome prospective new members.
 If you are interested in joining our organization and our endeavors to promote patriotism and traditional American history, as well as recognize the efforts of patriotic individuals and our Patriot Ancestors who fought so valiantly to establish our Country and our Freedoms,
