2010 NSSAR and TXSSAR Fee Schedule

The following tables outline the fee distributions for Dues, Applications, Requests for Transfer, Reinstatements, Dual Memberships, and more. When calculating total fees (national, state, and chapter) the fact that several chapters have larger chapter dues rates than the "standard" must be taken into account (Plano, PineyWoods, Capt. William Barron, Dallas, Robert Rankin and McKinney). For accurate fees regardless of chapter, select a Chapter from the drop-down list, enter your age (necessary only if you are interested in Perpetual Membership), and click the Adjust Fees button.

Perpetual Membership
TXSSAR Perpetual Membership pays National, State and Chapter Dues of each Member, for life. The Perpetual Membership Rate is based on the age of the Applicant and is twice the National Life Membership Plan cost. For example: National Life Membership for an Applicant age 18 - 40 is $900.00; therefore, the Perpetual Membership Rate for an Applicant age 18 - 40 is $1,800.00. National Life Membership for an Applicant age 70 is $450.00; therefore, the Perpetual Membership Rate for an Applicant age 70 is $900.00. The National Life Membership Rates may be found on the National website. A TXSSAR Perpetual Membership may be purchased in two equal installments. The first installment will be used by the TXSSAR Treasurer to purchase a National Life Membership for the Applicant. The Applicant would be required to pay State and Chapter dues until the second installment is paid. After the second installment is paid, the Applicant would not be required to pay future State or Chapter dues. If anyone knows of a good prospect for SAR membership, please contact the Membership Chairman. If you have hesitated because you do not want to get involved in research for a candidate, hesitate no longer. Help is available. There is now a SAR employee in the NSSAR home office in Louisville, KY who will do research for SAR Applications for $25.00 per hour plus expenses.
